KIDS & TEENS MODEL UPDATES

These photo sessions are perfect for kids & teens (3+ yrs) who are new to the model industry or for those who are more experienced and in need of a model card refresh. If you are not in the industry and have a child who just wants to do this for fun, that’s fine too.

I use a variety of simple backgrounds and editorial-style posing with natural light. Many agencies prefer parents to capture their own photos for the application process, so my sessions are ideal once your child is signed.

Shoots vary in time. The times below are a guide and with some sessions, we capture what we need in a shorter timeframe. Sessions take place at the studio in Glasgow city. Sometimes we photograph outside in the local area, it’s all weather dependant!

My most frequently asked questions by parents and children

HOW DO I BOOK A MODEL UPDATE SESSION?

To book a photo session, you can either drop me an email at info@pollyharrisphotography.com or call on 07740 069013.

We will let you know which dates are available. If we are full we can add your name to our waitlist and advise you as soon as we schedule new sessions. Looking forward to hearing from you!

wHAT HAPPENS AFTER I BOOK MY DATES?

Once we have your date booked I will email through a new customer form to complete, some logistics information for your session date, and advice on styling.

HOW SHOULD WE PREPARE? WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

I am in the process of developing a style guide which will be available shortly. In the meantime I will send you some information on styling tips so you are fully prepared for your session. We recommend you bring a variety of outfits 2-3, keep make-up to a minimum, clean nails and don’t forget a hairbrush!

You are free to contact me anytime prior to your session with any questions you may have.

HOW LONG WILL THE PHOTO SESSION LAST?

All single-child sessions last up to 2 hours.. In some sessions we capture what we need in a shorter space of time.

For sibling sessions, these are for up to 3 children. Sessions last up to 3hrs. Great images take time to make, and I prefer to not rush. When there are young children, you can take breaks throughout.

WHEN DO I PAY?

Full payment is required 2 weeks before your session date. Should you require all images from your gallery, there is an option to purchase once you have received your gallery.

Once payment is received, this will secure your session date. Should you need to cancel, you are entitled to a full refund if you cancel your Photo Shoot no later than 7 days prior to the Photo Shoot Date. If you cancel after this date, you may request that the Photo Shoot Date is rescheduled.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT THE PHOTO SHOOT?

My photo shoots are informal and personalised. Please arrive 10 minutes before your session time to allow you to hang up clothing, get settled and to discuss the shoot plan for your session. There will be opportunities for the children to take a break if they need a refreshment. We do only have space in the studio for one parent to attend with their child. This also ensures there are no distractions during the session. All photo sessions use simple backdrops and natural lighting. We sometimes use a space outside the studio and if the weather permits we can also go outdoors in the local area to capture some shots.

HOW LONG BEFORE I SEE MY IMAGES?

Typically 3-4 weeks. Timing can vary during the busier periods. Once your images are ready I will give you access to a private online gallery that is open for 6 days. This gives you the opportunity to look through your gallery in privacy and decide on your favourites. Once you have selected your images, we will send through a link for you to download and keep your images safe. This link is open for 7 days.

WHAT IF MY CHILD GETS SICK?

It happens! Sometimes it happens just before or on the day of the photo shoot. I would ask that you try and give me as much advance notice as possible if your child is unwell just before your session. I will always reschedule to the next possible date if this happens.
